Глоссарий терминов по технологиям неразрушающего контроля (NDT)
A permanent visible image on a recording medium produced by penetrating radiation passing through the material being tested.

Radiograph, английский
  1. An image produced on film or another sensitive surface when radiation such as x-rays or gamma rays passes through an object verb to make a radiograph of something, especially a part of the body

  2. X ray.

Radiographer, английский
  1. 1. a person specially trained to operate a machine to take x-ray photographs or radiographs. also called diagnostic radiographer 2. a person specially trained to use x-rays or radioactive isotopes in the treatment of patients. also called therapeutic radiographer

  2. Any individual who performs or who, in attendance at the site where the sealed source or sources are being used, personally supervises radiographic operations and who is responsible to the licensee for assuring compliance with the requirements of these regulations and the conditions of the licenses.

  3. Person that performs, supervises, and is responsible for industrial radiologic test operations.

Radiographer’s assistant, английский
Any individual who under the personal supervision of a radiographer, uses radiographer exposure devices, sealed sources or related handling tools, or survey instruments in radiography.

Radiographer’s exposure device, английский
Any instrument containing a sealed source fastened or contained therein, in which the sealed source or shielding thereof may be moved, or otherwise changed, from a shielded to unshielded position for purposes of making a radiographic exposure.

Radiographic, английский

Radiographic code, английский
A code for specifying minimum standards related to radiographic practices.

Radiographic contrast (rt), английский

Radiographic equivalence factor (rt), английский
The factor by which the thickness of material must be multiplied in order to determine what thickness of a standard material (often steel) will have the same absorption.

Radiographic exposure device (rt), английский

Radiographic film, английский

Radiographic film (rt), английский

Radiographic inspection, английский
    Рентгенографический контроль

Radiographic inspection (rt), английский
The use of x-rays or nuclear radiation or both to detect discontinuities in material, and to present their images on a recording medium.

Radiographic interpretation (rt), английский
The identification of subsurface discontinuities indicated on the radiograph. the evaluation as to the acceptability or reject ability of the material is based upon the judicious application of the radiographic specifications and standards governing the material.

Radiographic paper (rt), английский
White paper coated on one side with emulsion, suitable for some purposes as an alternative to x-ray film.

Radiographic projection method (rt), английский
A method whereby image magnification is achieved by projection.

Radiographic qualification test, английский
A procedure for determining the optimum value of the d/t ratio, or the proper working distance of an x-ray tube or a radioactive source.

Radiographic quality level, английский

Radiographic quality level (rt), английский
An expression of the quality (sensitivity) of a radiograph in terms of an image quality indicator (penetrameter). when a standard hole-type penetrameter is used, quality level is stated as a-bt, where a is the penetrameter thickness, expressed as a percentage of the maximum thickness of the specimen, and b is the diameter of the smallest discernible hole, expressed as a multiple of penetrameter thickness, t. for example, the 3- 2t quality level means that the penetrameter thickness equals 3 percent of maximum specimen thickness, and the smallest discernible penetrameter hole has a diameter equal to twice the penetrameter thickness.

Radiographic radiographic definition (rt), английский

Luminescence (rt), английский
A phenomenon in which the absorption of radiation by a substance gives rise to the emission of light characteristic of the substance.

Penetrant, post emulsifiable (pt), английский
A penetrant that requires the application of a separate emulsifier to render the surface penetrant water-washable.
