    Originally the tannage of leather was almost entirely with oak bark, later the term applied to tannage with a blend containing oak tannin. now, it is loosely applied to any tannage of heavy leather with vegetable extracts. occasional furniture: industry term applied to small furniture items such as cocktail tables, end tables, night stands and pull-up chairs. ogee molding: molding of double curvature, concave below and convex above. open stock: furniture regularly kept in stock and often available for quick delivery. does not include custom-made or specially finished furniture. ormolu: term used to describe decorative objects and furniture mounts of cast and gilt bronze or brass.
