- Поляризация
- A characteristic of the electric field on an electromagnetic wave in space. the directional aspects of a signal. signals can have circular or planar polarization. four types of polarization are used with satellites; horizontal, vertical, right-hand circular and left-hand circular. electromagnetic waves have the ability to vibrate in different radial directions. typically, satellite signal polarization is either horizontal or vertical. the signal coming from the satellite to the dish will either be vibrating along a horizontal or vertical plane. the receiving equipment must be adjusted to receive the correct polarization.
- Vibration of the electric field vector in specific direction perpendicular to the direction of propagation of the wave. also, restriction of the vibrations of the electromagnetic
- Alignment of the electric and magnetic fields that make up an electromagnetic wave; normally refers to the electric field. if all light waves have the same alignment, the light is polarized.
- When light penetrates certain crystals the emergent light is different than the entrance light. the emergent light emitted by the crystal vibrates in only one direction.
Telecommunications, английский
- Передача и прием электромагнитных сигналов или любой информации по проводам, радио- и другим каналам
- (радио) связь; средства (дальней) связи
- Communicating over a distance. use of wire, radio, optical or other electromagnetic channels to transmit or receive signals for voice, video and data communications.
- The transmission and reception of signals (such as electrical or optical) by wire, optical fiber, or electromagnetic means. telegraphing, show-through on a decorative material covering a wall, etc., irregularities, imperfections, or patterns of an inner layer which are transmitted to the surface so that they become visible.
- Communicating by sending voice, data or images over networks that might involve telephone lines, satellites, and the radio spectrum. see telecommunications network.
