Grobian is an experimental rough sets analysis program. in addition to the usual analysis offered by programs such as rosetta, it also includes some alternate measures of the quality of the rough sets approximations and some additional statistical tests. see also: http://www.infj.ulst.ac.uk/~cccz23/grobian/grobian.html g2 see: gain control.

Gradient descent, английский
Gradient descent, or hill climbing, is a common technique for estimating parameters in machine learning algorithms such as neural nets or other regression style techniques. these algorithms "learn" by adjusting their parameters to minimize some error measure. at any given point in the learning process, the algorithm evaluates how a change in the parameters could decrease the current error and moves in that direction. typically, the algorithm determines the direction as a function of the derivative of the error function (its gradient) with respect to the parameters or a weighted derivative, where the matrix of second derivatives (the hessian matrix) determines the weights. once the direction has been chosen, it is multiplied by a learning rate parameter and added to the current values of the parameter vector. see also: learning rate, machine learning. grammer, augmented transition network see: augmented transition network grammer.

Hasse diagram of event tree, английский
Hearsay-iii a blackboard-based system that interprets a spoken request to retrieve information. it has a limited vocabulary of about 1000 words. hearsay-ii a speech understanding system written by lesser, fennell, erman, and reddy in 1976. a series of modules composed the system that communicated through a "blackboard" (q.v.). each of the modules represented a different knowledge source and could function asynchronously.
