Fabricated, английский
U-bend, which expands or contracts to compensate for pipe contraction or expansion.
Semiconductor, английский
- A solid material characterized by comparatively high resistivities.
- A material whose resistivity lies between that of conductors and insulators, e.g., germanium and silicon. solid state devices such as transistors, diodes, photocells, and integrated circuits are manufactured from semiconductor materials.
- Полупроводник
- Any material that has a limited capacity for conducting an electric current. certain semiconductors, including silicon, gallium arsenide, copper indium diselenide, and cadmium telluride, are uniquely suited to the photovoltaic conversion process.
- A substance, commonly silicon or germanium, whose ability to conduct electricity falls between that of a conductor and that of a nonconductor (insulator). the term is used loosely to refer to electronic components made from semiconductor materials.
- An electronic material that can be an insulator under one condition and switch to a conductor under a different condition shear-thinning

Break out, английский
- To separate the individual fibers or buffer tubes of a fiber-optic cable for the purpose of splicing or installing optical connectors.
- Раскрутить, развернуть парус или флаг; оторвать якорь от грунта
- [1] to open something or make it available. [2] to release an anchor from the bottom. [3] stevedore term for the removal of cargo from the hold to the lifting area below the hatch (i.e., to unstow).
- To pull drill rods or casing from a borehole and unscrew them at points where they are joined by threaded couplings to form lengths that can be stacked in the drill tripod or derrick. compare breaking joints.
Dispersion-compensating module (dcm), английский
This module has the opposite dispersion of the fiber being used in a transmission system. it is used to nullify the dispersion caused by that fiber. it can be either a spool of a special fiber or a grating based module.
