Глоссарий по строительству зданий

    Наносный песок, аллювиальный песок, русский

    Alluvial, английский
    1. A sorted or semi-sorted sediment deposited during comparatively recent geologic time by a stream or other moving body of water, and which occasionally contains concentrations of valuable minerals.

    2. A term commonly, although incorrectly, used by some drillers as a synonym for overburden. see overburden.

    3. Relating to deposits made by flowing water.

    4. Pertaining to material or processes associated with transportation and/or subaerial deposition by concentrated running water. compare - colluvial. gsst

    5. Of or pertaining to alluvium; alluvial soil.

    Alluvial (proluvial) fan, английский

    Alluvial clay, английский

    Alluvial cone, английский
A semi-conical type of alluvial fan with very steep slopes; it is higher, narrower, and steeper (e.g., > 40% slopes) than a fan, and composed of coarser, and thicker layers of material deposited by a combination of alluvial episodes and to a much lesser degree, landslides (e.g., debris flow). coarsest materials tend to concentrate at the cone apex. compare - alluvial fan, talus cone. sw

    Alluvial deposit, английский
Earth, sand, gravel, or other rock or mineral materials transported and laid down by flowing water.

    Alluvial diamonds, английский
Diamonds found in association with water-laid materials.

    Alluvial fan, английский
    1. A low, outspread mass of loose materials and/or rock material, commonly with gentle slopes, shaped like an open fan or a segment of a cone, deposited by a stream (best expressed in semiarid regions) at the place where it issues from a narrow mountain or upland valley; or where a tributary stream is near or at its junction with the main stream. it is steepest near its apex which points upstream and slopes gently and convexly outward (downstream) with a gradual decrease in gradient. gg

    2. A large, sloping sedimentary deposit at the mouth of a canyon, laid down by intermittently flowing water, especially in arid climates, and composed of gravel and sand. the deposit tends to be coarse and unworked, with angular, poorly sorted grains in thin, overlapping sheets. a line of fans may eventually coalesce into an apron that grows broader and higher as the slopes above are eroded away.

    Alluvial flat, английский
      (a) (colloquial: western u.s.a.) a nearly level, graded, alluvial surface in bolsons and semibolsons that lacks distinct channels, terraces, or flood plain levels.

    Alluvial mining, английский

    Alluvial ore deposit, английский

    Alluvial plain, английский
      (a) a large assemblage of fluvial landforms (braided streams, terraces, etc.,) that form low gradient, regional ramps along the flanks of mountains and extend great distances from their sources (e.g., high plains of north america. sw (b) (not recommended, use flood plain.) a general, informal term for a broad flood plain or a low-gradient delta. compare - alluvial flat. ffp. part 629 - glossary 629-6 (430-vi-nssh, 2008)

    Alluvial plain remnant, английский
An erosional remnant of an alluvial plain which retains the surface form and alluvial deposits of its origin but was not emplaced by, and commonly does not grade to a present-day stream or drainage network. compare - alluvial plain, erosional remnant, paleoterrace. sw

    Alluvial slope, английский

    Alluvial tin, английский

    Alluvial values, английский

    Alluvialis [e], латинский

    Sand, английский
    1. Sable

    2. The more or less fine debris of rocks, consisting of small, loose grains, often of quartz

    3. Sandstorm

    4. Песок; песчаный

    5. Песок

    6. A loose granular material that results from the disintegration of rocks, consisting of particles smaller than gravel but coarser than silt. sand can be described in terms of grain size, color, composition, morphology (angularity and shape) and surface texture. hence the term means different things to different people. to the seafarer, it is essentially a mineral substance deposited along the shores of bodies of water and in river beds, usually containing shells, fossils, corals, algae, volcanic material, and the remains of marine plants and animals.

    7. Sometimes used by drillers as a name for porous, friable sandstone or for an oil-, water-, or gas-bearing formation.

    8. As recommended by the asoe in their proceedings, volume 84, no. sm4, october 1958, rounded or semirounded particles of rock that will pass a no. 4. and be retained on a no. 200, u.s. standard sieve, hence having average dimensions ranging from a maximum of less than 4.7 mm. (about three-six teenths of an inch) to a minimum of 0.05 mm. (approximately .0029 inch).

    9. Soil particles 0.06 to 2 mm in size.

    10. A granular material resulting from the disintegration of rock. foundry sands are mainly silica. “bank sands” are found in sedimentary deposits and contain less than 5% clay. “dune” sand occurs in wind blown deposits near large bodies of water and is very high in silica content. “moulding sand” contains more than 5% clay; usually between 10 and 20%. “silica sand” is a granular material containing at least 95% silica and often more than 99%. “sand core” is nearly pure silica. “miscellaneous sand” includes zircon, olivine, calcium carbonate, lava, and titanium minerals.
